After a long absence, we are excited to introduce our new and improved Fauna Mana™ (Fah nuh mah nuh) line of products.  After extensive research and evaluation, we have chosen to source our mushroom powders from Nammex, a leading supplier of mushroom extracts made from the whole mushroom, not from mycelium grown on grain.  Why is this important?  Because the medicinal compounds such as Beta-Glucans, Triterpenoids and Ergosterol are found in the whole mushroom, not in the mycelium or the spores.  A mushroom must pass through the entire life cycle as shown in Figure 1 to fully develop the beneficial, medicinal compounds.  All Nammex mushrooms are organically grown, in a sustainable manner, without the use of agricultural chemicals.  After harvest and either water and/or alcohol extraction, Nammex mushrooms undergo rigid quality control to include testing for active compounds, heavy metals, and levels of beta-glucans to insure medicinal compounds.  We are confident that we are bringing to  you, in our Fauna Mana™ products, the highest quality medicinal mushrooms available.

We have selected seven medicinal mushrooms and combined them with Ashwagandha, Green Tea, and our proprietary blend of humic and fulvic acids to create a powerful tea beverage, prepared with hot water according to traditional Chinese Medicine practice.  Boiling water and heat force is necessary to break the active components into the smaller pieces the cells can and will use, which doesn't happen if you are ingesting a capsule or putting powder in a smoothie or sprinkling it on food.

The mushroom blend is high in essential and beneficial amino acids, proteins, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, magnesium and Vitamin D2, as well as Omega 3 and Omega 6 essential fatty acids.  Ashwagandha (Indian Ginseng) is an ancient Ayurvedic herbal medicine and has been proven to boost energy and support the respiratory, reproductive and immune system.  It calms and strengthens the nervous system, promotes sleep, helps arthritis, relieves weakness and clears the mind.  Ashwagandha  is considered to promote good health and well being for the entire body.  Green Tea has been used in Chinese medicine for thousands of years and contains a polyphenol called Epigallocatechin gallate, EGCG for short, a documented anti-oxidant and known to support the immune system as well as cardiovascular health.

Humic & Fulvic Acids tie it all together.  These complex molecular compounds create a bio-chemical bridge between the active nutrients in Fauna Mana™ and your cells, allowing the cells to completely absorb the beneficial compounds, while also supporting detoxification and heavy metal chelation.

Known as "The King of Medicinal Mushrooms", Chaga  is a superior medicinal mushroom containing over 215 phytonutrients, glyconutrients, betulinic acid, polysaccharides, beta-glucans, tripeptides, triterpenes including lanosterol-type triterpenes, sterols, saponins, inotodiols, trametenolic acid and melanin.

Chaga has the ability to improve the immune response, lower high blood sugar and combat abnormal and mutagenic cell growth.  Chaga also has the capacity to stimulate the immune response, reduce inflammation, and multitask on many levels making it a very powerful adaptogen for the body.

Cordyceps

Cordyceps (Cordyceps Militaris)

Cordyceps has been used for thousands of years in China and Tibet.  It has powerful Yin and Yang energy, making it well tolerated by everyone.  Cordyceps is a potent lung, liver, and kidney Jing tonic, known to increase brain power, vitality, mental energy, and strengthen the structural integrity of the lower back, the knees, and the ankles.

Cordyceps is highly revered by athletes for its ability to greatly improve performance, build physical power and strength, increase endurance and stamina, and promote fast recovery. Cordyceps is one of the best sexual tonics.  It is commonly used for impotence, sexual malaise, and frigidity.  Cordyceps is rich in polysaccharide (beta-glucan) compounds that provide potent immune-supportive power.

Shitake mushrooms are unique in that they contain eight essential amino acids and the essential Omega-6 polyunsaturated fat, linoleic acid.  Shitake mushrooms contain many chemical compounds that protect DNA from oxidative damage, including a pure beta-D-glucan, lentinan, which can heal chromosomal damage caused by anticancer treatments.  Another, beta-D-glucan, eritadenine, can help reduce cholesterol levels and support cardiovascular health.

Shiitake mushrooms are a great source of B vitamins, which help support adrenal function and turn nutrients from food into usable energy.  They also help balance hormones naturally and break through brain fog to maintain focus all day long — even improving cognitive performance.

Maitake

Maitake (Grifola Frondosa)

Known as "Hen of the Woods", Maitake is one of nature’s richest sources of beta glucans, complex natural sugars that are among some of the most potent and natural immune chemicals ever discovered.  Beta-glucans are polysaccharides that are known as “biological response modifiers” for their powerful health-promoting potential and ability to activate the immune system.  Maitake might be one of the most important immune boosting foods available.

Turkey Tail is best known as the immune mushroom.  It’s loaded with triterpenes and immunologically active polysaccharides, including the well-studied protein bound PSK (polysaccharide krestin), PSP (polysaccharide peptide), and beta-glucans (1,3 and 1,4), which stimulate the immune system and modifies its response.  This means Turkey Tail can play a role in supporting the immune system, as well in reducing inflammation.  Turkey Tail is also a good source of fiber which feeds a healthy gut microbiome.

Oyster

Oyster (Pleurotus ostreatus)

Oyster mushrooms have been cultivated for less than 100 years, but have been shown to have many potential health benefits.   Oyster mushrooms are high in a natural statin agent, mevinolin, which has been shown to lower cholesterol and triglycerides in animal studies.  Oyster mushrooms have been found to have a relaxation effect on the smooth muscle of the arterial walls, thus effectively lowering blood pressure.

Research has shown oyster mushrooms to be effective against drug resistant E. coli and Staphylococcus infections.  Studies have also shown it to be effective against Candida overgrowth and Streptococcus or Enterococcus infections.  Oyster mushrooms can exert both direct and indirect antiviral effects through immune system-enhancing activity.  Ubiquitin is an anti-viral protein isolate from oyster mushrooms.  The mushroom also has potential to inhibit cell replication in viruses including  HIV.

Tremella, also known as the "snow fungus", or "beauty mushroom", is a flowery shaped mushroom with a gelatinous texture.  It has been used clinically to nourish the lungs, kidneys, heart, brain and stomach.  It is most well known for its skin enhancing properties, to include moisturizing, improved elasticity, brighter complexion and deep, intense, skin hydration.  Tremella is used as a moisturizing and hydration agent in cosmetic products.
